On this year's second Sunday of Advent, 4. 12. 2016, the project PETROF Art Family (PAF) has been officially launched. The project represents a loose association of artist working closely with the company PETROF, the largest European acoustic piano manufacturer.

Opening concert featured two excellent pianists - Antonio Formaro (ARG) and Matyáš Novák (CZE). Antonio captivated the audience with his distinctive and incredibly sensitive rendition of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s compositions. Matyáš then impressed the audience with his incredible energy and technical sophistication, which was clear in his performance of Franz Liszt’s challenging compositions.

Audience’s long lasting standing ovation was rewarded by the performers by two encores, both four hand piano performances, which confirmed the old saying, that music is the universal language of mankind.

Joint rendition of Antonín Dvořák’s Slavonic Dance Op. 72, no. 2 and modified performance of Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango clearly fulfilled the ambitious objectives of the project. Both performances beautifully merged together aspects of Czech and Argentinean culture and thus created a wonderful and unique musical experience. The star of the evening was also undoubtedly the masterful piano ANT. PETROF 275, flagship instrument of the company PETROF.

Prestige of the opening concert was highlighted by the attendance of several prominent personalities. Embassy of the Argentine Republic in the Czech Republic  held patronage over the evening - ambassador J.E. Carlos Alejandro Poffo himself delighted everyone with his speech in Czech language. The city of Hradec Králové was represented throughout the evening by MUDr. Zdeněk Fink, Mayor of Hradec Králové, and Ing. Anna Maclová, Deputy Mayor for Culture. Filharmonie Hradec Králové was represented by its director RNDr. Václav Derner.

We would like to thank everyone who made this event the success that it was and we look forward to organizing more concerts and events full of extraordinary musical experiences, such as this one, in the future.
